Florals in the morning

Good morning all - I woke up really early this morning because I have a cold, boo hiss boo, and couldn't sleep because of my blocked nose, soooooooooo before going to work I thought I'd do a really quick post for you!
I went to New Look on Tuesday and bought this new head scarf. I love florals and thought the twisted design was very 70's. And it was a real bargain at £2.99 : )
The only thing is, I don't know if I have a really big head or something but the back, which you cant see, sorry, was elasticated and it wouldn't sit on my head properly, and especially did weird things to my fringe - so I cut it! And now it just sits on my head like a hat, what do you think? Was it the right thing to do?

Do it like the 50's

As I was sitting there pondering to myself how to introduce my little blog to the world I thought I'd do a little turn for you and pop up a post! Recently I've started Lindy Hop and the Charleston, both of which I adore but the side effect is I've developed a little bit of an appetite for 50's glamour. Now I'm always on the look out for a wee little vintage gem but can you imagine my surprise when I find one in Tesco's! yes ladies and, well, probably more ladies, I'm not joking - Tesco's, of all places. Now before I go any further let me introduce you to my new piece.

What do you think? isn't she pretty? And only £16 AND I know I have a puff ball netted petticoat lying around that would go perfectly! 50's heaven here I come. Now I know its hard to imagine all put together so stay tuned and I shall be doing an outfit of the day with all mentioned items! OHHH I'm excited! Now im off to drink some tea : )
